The AI-era Product Owner
A one-day intensive training that takes product leadership from AI hype to measurable results. We cover how language models, agents and MCP change product development, how to identify and prioritise genuinely high-value features, and how to turn them into concrete roadmaps, backlogs and prototypes. During the day we build a working prototype or agentic workflow together, not just slides. No coding skills required.

Who is this for?
This training is for product owners, product managers and product leaders who want to understand what AI means for their work and how to make smart decisions about bringing language model powered features into their products. You get the most out of it with practical product experience and basic familiarity with current AI tools.
- Product owners and product managers
- Agile coaches and Scrum Masters
- Product development leads and executives
- Business owners and stakeholders
Agenda
The day is built around four blocks: the morning grounds you in AI fundamentals and the shift in modern development; the afternoon focuses on spotting value and responsible agentic product development.
09:00–10:30: Welcome to the AI era
- The product owner role in agile development: a refresher and an update
- The state of AI in 2026
- Language models and generative AI: where we stand today
- What is an AI agent? Differences and architectures between conversational AI and action-taking agents
- The PO's new role: from requirements writer to technical visionary who understands system integrations without coding skills
10:45–12:00: Modern AI-driven product development
- How software is built today with modern agentic tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)
- What is MCP (Model Context Protocol) and why does it transform development? Connecting models to data sources, benefits and trade-offs
- MCP and APIs in product terms: how to make your product compatible with AI agents
- Prompting techniques: practical skills for product owners to get the best results
- Agentic backlog management in practice: language models breaking down epics, drafting acceptance criteria and streamlining reporting
13:00–14:15: Tools for spotting AI opportunities
- Six levels of AI-agent leverage inside a product
- Designing agentic features: keeping human-in-the-loop in the right places
- The AI opportunity matrix: identifying highest-impact development targets
- Combining user journey mapping with AI capabilities
- Agent economics: balancing token costs against business value
- Value-feasibility-risk framework for evaluating AI ideas
- Lovable and similar tools: validate product ideas in days instead of weeks without dedicated coding
- Hands-on exercise: calculating the ROI of an AI feature for a case example
14:30–16:00: Agentic systems and responsible AI
- Four product dimensions: desirability, viability, feasibility and ethics
- The new rhythm of product development: rapid experiments, continuous feedback and early validation
- The EU AI Act and Explainable AI (XAI) in plain language: knowing what you can safely build and what to avoid
- A look at agent protocols: ACP (Agentic Commerce Protocol) and A2A (Agent-to-Agent)
- Future outlook: where agentic product development is heading next
By day's end you'll know how to:
- Explain the differences between language models, agents and MCP, and communicate them clearly to stakeholders
- Identify and prioritise AI use cases with real business impact
- Evaluate AI ideas through value, feasibility and risk
- Design agentic features so humans retain decision-making power in the right places
- Turn ideas into concrete roadmaps, backlogs and working prototypes
- Factor data privacy, regulatory compliance and responsibility into every decision
